About IECA

With great enthusiasm, I invite you to discover the variety of programs the IECA Foundation has been able to support during 2016, programs that allow us to meet our mission to assist underserved students as they make educational choices. Thanks to the generous support of our donors we have been able to offer grants to thirty-two programs serving more than 1000 students.

Awards have gone to programs that have models of service that can be replicated; to established programs where we can help provide an added dimension; to programs in early stages of development where our grants can support their promise. There are programs for all school age children and young adults across the United States.

Note how National Grace Foundation helps children with cancer prepare to for college; how Gold Coast Syndrome maximizes the abilities of children with Down Syndrome to become productive, contributing adults; how Best Foot Forward assists foster youth to succeed in high school and then move on to college: how Reading Power ensures literacy through early intervention; and how the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts trains students in a variety of the arts to develop their talents and prepare them to thrive in college and conservatory programs.

Each of the thirty-two programs we have supported has its own distinctive model, but all have one essential goal in common: to create opportunities that will open the door to an educated future for underserved children.

So once again, I say a heartfelt thank you to our donors for helping the Foundation open these doors to education in 2016. And I look forward to your continued support to fulfill our mission.

Sincerely,
Robin Abedon
Chair
